A Few News Stories

Hey! News Channel 7 stopped by.  A-mila West drove all the way up from Panama City... just to talk to Meadow.  When Meadow wouldn't be interviewed (our pony can talk, she's just shy) the reporter spoke with us instead.  Check out the news spot...

We needed paper for our blog address cards... The store owner was also a photographer

30A Songwriter radio, run by the super-cool, super-friendly Shannon Ireland (awesome name right?) also tracked us down.  See pictures and video and listen to the radio show ...

The house where the show was recorded belonged to a woman, J and her kids... J, J and J.  Yep.  They even had an old school bus that had been converted into a living space.  We had such a good time hanging out with them and their friends, one evening turned into three days.  And when the time came, we really hated to leave.

Heading West along 98, a number of news reporters stopped us...  The Walton Sun did an article and their photographer took a bunch of cool shots including some nifty, fisheye ones of Meadow's feet.

We were even on the front page of the Northwest Florida Daily News.  (We also made a separate post for this article if you run into that "3rd party cookies" thing on their site)

Olive wore duct taped footies on the front to protect her not-yet-but-soon-to-be-sore paws from the pavement.  She's done 4 months and 600+ miles on grassy shoulders, and now she has to amble, amble over asphalt and concrete thanks to the fact that sand spurs lurk behind every blade of grass.

Meadow's not into the beach either.  Not only are we not allowed on the beach proper with a horse but the deep sand everywhere else wears her hooves flat at the toes as is hard work to go over especially with a head wind... We realize now why folks go West to East across the US.
